Quotes from Matt Remillard;

About fighting at the Mohegan Sun Casino:

“It feels great to be fighting at the Mohegan Sun Casino, other than fighting in Hartford, it really feels like home. The fans were very supportive in January and I’m looking forward to putting on another great performance.”

About Carlos Rivera:

“Carlos Rivera is a very tough southpaw which should prove a good test for me. Many of the top featherweights are southpaws so it will be a solid proving ground. It should make for a great action fight for the fans.’

About future fights:

It’s really one fight at a time for me; I’ll worry about whose next after I fight Rivera. But I’d like to fight a world ranked guy next if possible.”

“My manager Brett Hallenbeck and my promoter TKO Boxing Promotions have done a great job and I’ll leave it up to them as to what the next move is.”

Quote from Bret Hallenback, manager of Matt Remillard:

“TKO Boxing has done a terrific job putting together this fight. Matt is training very hard and we’re looking forward to putting on a great performance May 22nd. The Mohegan Sun Casino feels like home to us and we’re very excited to be on the same card as Peter Manfredo Jr.
