ANDRES TAYLOR RECEIVES KEYS TO THE CITY ON WEDNESDAY
“FRIGHT NIGHT FIGHTS” PUBLIC PRESS CONFERENCE
ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON IN JOHNSTOWN, PA
Cruiserweight contender Andres “TAYLOR MADE” Taylor will receive the keys to the city of his hometown of Johnstown, Pennsylvania from Mayor Thomas Trigona in a noontime ceremony this Wednesday, October 28th in the city’s Central Park Commons area.
A 1998 graduate of Johnstown Senior High School, local fan favorite Taylor headlines “FRIGHT NIGHT FIGHTS” on Saturday night, October 31st at the War Memorial Arena against Leo Bercier of Great Falls, Montana.
The Taylor/Bercier main event is a rematch of their “Fight of the Year” candidate battle which took place on June 27th in Youngstown, Ohio, a decision won by Bercier.
Fight fans in Johnstown are also invited to attend the final press conference for “FRIGHT NIGHT FIGHTS” on Friday afternoon, October 30th at 2pm at the Pony Club Lounge, 1425 Scalp Avenue in Johnstown.
Along with Taylor and Bercier, other fighters attending the public press conference will be world ranked middleweight Joey Gilbert, a veteran of NBC’s The Contender, Season One, undefeated featherweight sensation Carney “BEEPER Bowman of York, PA and popular undefeated Pittsburgh welterweight Jesse Lubash.
Priced at $60, $30 and $20**, tickets for “FRIGHT NIGHT FIGHTS” can be purchased through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com., phone 800-745-3000), the War Memorial Arena Box Office (814-536-5156), Giant Eagle Markets in Johnstown, (1451 Scalp Ave. and 1234 Broad St.) and at Watchmakers Diamonds & Jewelry, 1252 Scalp Ave. in Johnstown. The Cambria County War Memorial Arena is located at 326 Napoleon St. in Johnstown. Doors on the evening of the event will open at 7pm, with the first bell at 8pm.
