The media turnout was huge on Wednesday afternoon as television stations and sportswriters came from all over Central and Western Pennsylvania to attend the press conference officially announcing the signing of undefeated cruiserweight Andres “TaylorMade” Taylor to an exclusive promotional contract with Chet Koerner’s TKO BOXING Promotions.

Taylor’s first bout under the TKO BOXING Promotions’ banner is this Saturday night as he faces Leo Bercier at the STEEL VALLEY RUMBLE at the Campbell Memorial Fieldhouse in Struthers, Ohio, just outside of Youngstown.

Said Taylor, “I’m very excited to be working with Chet and the TKO BOXING team. I’ve fought on TKO shows a few times already and Chet and I share the same vision for my career and working towards a world championship.”

Since turning professional just over a year ago, Taylor has impressively compiled an undefeated record of 8-0-1 with four knockouts, most recently stopping Philadelphia’s Simon Carr in destructive fashion on May 2nd in front of his legion of hometown fans at the War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Said Koerner, “Andres truly exemplifies our TKO BOXING motto of “HOMETOWN HEROES TO WORLD CHAMPIONS”. I’ve gotten a chance to know him over the last year and it’s evident why he’s so popular in Pennsylvania. The fans love his action packed style of fighting, but he’s also a very humble, dedicated family man who is very focused and disciplined in his quest to become a world champion.”

Since forming in early 2008, Las Vegas based TKO BOXING Promotions has built a terrific young stable of world class prospects and contenders which includes Peter Manfredo Jr., Elvin Ayala, Matt Remillard, Carney Bowman, Anthony Thompson, Bastie Samir, Mickey Bey Jr., Rafael Valenzuela, Francisco Contreras and Eastern European standouts Dmitry and Fedro Chudinov

“We’re proud to add Andres to our growing international stable of fighters who we believe can become world champions. We’re looking forward to letting the rest of the boxing fans across the country know about “TaylorMade.”
