FRANCISCO CONTRERAS STORMS THROUGH HOUSTON, TEXAS
JUNIOR WELTERWEIGHT PROSPECT STAYS PERFECT
WITH 11TH STRAIGHT KNOCKOUT

Junior welterweight sensation Francisco “THE PHENOM” Contreras stunned the huge crowd at Houston’s Arena Theater on Saturday night with a crunching first round knockout of Washington D.C.’s Ron “TEFLON” Boyd.

Drilling Boyd to the canvas in the opening minute with a head spinning left hook, the 25 year old Contreras dropped him twice before referee Sam Garza called a halt to the action at the 2:10 mark.

With the win, Contreras, a native of La Romana, Dominican Republic now living in Irvington, New Jersey improved his record to 11-0, all by way of knockout. The knockout of Boyd was Contreras' third since he started fighting under the Las Vegas based TKO Boxing Promotions banner in June of this year.

Contreras is guided by award winning manager Cameron Dunkin who also handles world champions Kelly Pavlik, Steven Luevano and Nonito Donaire.

Further details of Contreras next bout will be announced shortly.
